Diriliş: Ertuğrul Story
This amazing TV series basically covers the life of one of the best Turkish warrior from 13th Century known as Ertugrul, father of Osman (founder of Ottoman Empire). As the crusaders enter Middle east, Turkish tribes fight for their piece of land. Ertugrul Gazi takes over the throne after death of Suleyman Shah (his father) and fights crusaders and Byzantines. The TV series beautifully portrays Islamic History times of Rule of Ertugrul. Later on whose son Osman took charge and built ottoman empire.
The whole series revolves around how he responds to mongols and Crusaders. His war strategies and strong faith in Allah enables him to defend his land from the crusaders and deceptive mongols. Not only that, this series is enriched with life lessons from life of Gazi. This turkish drama has a positive impact on the viewers as the lead role is a good Muslim besides being an excellent warrior and strategist. With an excellent plot and story this series is written by ahmetkozan.

Lessons from Dirilis: Ertugrul
- Hayme Hatun, mother of Ertugrul (matriarch of the Tribe) is a seen as a wise woman who plays her role a strong woman. She has leadership qualities and is a real keeper. This series is a perfect depiction of how a strong woman can uplift and double the power of a strong leader.
- Firm faith in Allah and self belief beats everything. Its does not matter how strong your opponent is, if you have “tawakkul” and make choices based on justice you will survive any difficult situation.
- Unity of Muslims. Whenever Muslims unite as a ummah they rule for years. The only way to conquer Muslims is by dividing them. Always make sure you do not let such people in. Be united and have faith in Allah.
- Trust is sacred and hard earned. There is always black sheep around you. Beware of backstabbers.
- Never underestimate your enemy, as they say “Keep your friends close, but enemies closer”. Study your opponent well, and keep studying their moves.
- Respect is a two way street. it strengthens the family relations and fosters trusts in relationships. e.g Suleman Shah and Sons.
- If you have a strong team as a leader you can do wonders. Always surround yourself with people that give you the right advice, and have their interests aligned with yours. Even the mightiest rulers of previous times faced defeat due to disloyal companions and advisors.

- Choose your woman wisely. Your life partner has a direct impact on your life, success, and daily life decisions even if you believe hey dont.
- Truth prevails and lies get exposed eventually. Always have faith in Allah and choose the “path of truth” even if its the hardest thing to do.
- Speak wisely. Your tongue can put you in situations which You will regret for life. Always think before you utter anything.
- Identify poisonous people and deal with them as early as possible. Dont let sweet words trap you.
- Never makes decisions when under influence. Anger and rage will get you in situations where you can make hasty decisions and repent later.
- Power fame and money can corrupt anyone. People tend to go to limits that are unethical and immoral, when any of the above three is in play.
- Being naive and soft is a common mistake that leaders tend to make. Beware of traitors and people with hidden motives.
- Never show weakness being in a leadership position, even when in pressure. Consult with Allah often.
- Loyalties change fast. Being a Ruler and warrior, never rely on someone from companions to an extent where they can become the biggest threats, when they switch sides.
