Her Father Abdul Aziz died when she was a very young age so, her mother Aasiya Aziz raised iqra and sidra aziz (elder daughter) all alone. She is not one of those stars who already have a platform and name in industry but is purely self made.
She mentioned in an in interview that she had faced such a time in her life where her mother struggled to make the both ends meet and her struggles of being a single parent, (specially of having two girls) were countless. But, Iqra is a wonderful proof of how strong her mother is and was in those times. Her mother is credited to be the first female Careem driver in Karachi.

1: Drama Series “Muqaddas” by Momina Duraid (2015) as “Muqaddas”
Iqra aziz first drama. It was her first leading role in her acting career. Iqra played the role as Muqaddas. The drama had everyone’s attention because of the thriller and suspense. In the drama, Muqaddas (Iqra Aziz) gets married to “Aatir” (Noor Hassan) in the series. She gets abducted on her wedding night. To get muqaddas back home atir pays the demanded ransom. Aatir tries really hard to find Muqaddas’s kisnappers but he failed .In end, the suspense breaks and its revealed that Aatir himself kidnapped muqaddas to take revenge from her father.
2: Drama serial Mol by Amna Mufti (2015) as “Sajjal”
Mol (value of something) is about balancing the rights of an individual with society’s demands. Iqra aziz plays the role of “sajjal” who gets engaged in her childhood to her cousin (uncle’s son) Shahryar Hassan (played by Faysal Qureshi) who is much older than her. Sheheryaar is a deputy commissioner and had no interest in marrying his cousin sajjal. Therefore, he applies for a transfer from Karachi to Sukkur where he meets Emaan (played by naveen waqar). Emaan is a teacher in a school for special children. They get married but, eman remains unwelcomed by sheheryaar’s family because of rejecting sajjal for her. Emaan couldn’t be a mother due to some medical conditions and she makes sheheryaar marry his cousin (Sajjal) who loves him so much. Sajjal gives birth to a son but dies in the last episode of the drama and emaan gets to raise the child with sheheryaar.
3: Drama Series “Tabeer” by Momina Duraid in 2018 as “Tabeer”
Iqra Aziz plays as Tabeer, who is pregnant with her husband (Imran Ashraf) Yasir’s child. Yasir works for Fawad (Shehzad Sheikh) who is a very generous man. Fawad is married to Zarnish (Eshal Fayyaz) and have a baby with her. Both main Characters lose their spouses. Zarnish dies of cancer and Yasir dies in a car accident. Fawad already has a son and Tabeer gives birth to Yasir’s son but, her son also dies later. Sania (Hajra Yameen) is in love with fawad and his mothers wants him to marry her. But, he falls in love with tabeer and marries her secretly. After a big roller coaster ride of emotions, ups and downs, sania finds her partner and Fawad’s mother accepts Tabeer. Tabeer and Fawad along with Fawad’s son finally live happily after 7 years of struggle.
4: Suno Chanda by Momina Duraid 2018 as Ajiya Nazakat Ali
The series revolves around two cousins living in joint family. Arsalan Jamshed Ali (Farhan Saeed) and Ajiya Nazakat Ali (Iqra Aziz). They get married because of the wish of their dying grandfather without their consent. Both take their vows (Nikaah) but do not live together because the Rukhsati was not performed yet. Arsal and Jiya being cousins, were really close and childhood companions. They play pranks on each other but, the unplanned and undesired marriage has put them in a war like situation. Both Jiya and Arsal are against the marriage and try to break it. Eventually, after alot of chaos and family war, they both had almost parted ways and even found new partners. But, they realize they were the best match for eachother, the situation takes an interesting turn from them convincing the family not getting them married to convincing their families to get them married. They finally get married and live happily afterwards.
5: Drama Series “Ranjhaa Ranjhaa Kardi” by Faiza iftikhar (2019) as “Noori”
Iqra Aziz plays the role of Noori in the series as daughter of really poor parents who make their living by picking garbage from the streets. Noori never liked the lifestyle and the consequences that came with it. She wanted a better living therefore, move to a city where she works in a factory. She meets two new people over ther, Bhola, a rich childlike guy and Sahir (Syed Jibran), a shopkeeper and a greedy man in general, whom she falls in love with. Noori faces so many challenges because of Sahir from being sexually harrassed to stealing and going to jail. Even afterall, shev gets a ruthless betrayal from Sahir and her family arranges her marriage with bhola.
Their relationship starts with Noori’s feelings of disgust which later converted in unconventional love and she gives birth to bhola’s son in the last episode and they live their unique fairytale together.
