Twitter users across Pakistan are calling for Ban TikTok in Pakistan. Earlier on June 3rd 2020 The Governor of Punjab and his wife met famous TikTokers and instructed them to create awareness about the virus and its leading problems among the general public. Majority of people trolled this on social media and said that TikTokers should not have been chosen for this task.
Whereas in our opinion TikTok is a platform with massive audience, Like it or not it can be a great instrument to spread awareness among our people if used positively. Due to the massive misuse of TikTok, people are not considering it a medium for spreading positivity. This is the second time we have seen Ban Tik Tok trend on twitter. India had the same trend a few days back.
Governor Punjab’s Response of Inviting TikTokers
Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar responded to the trolling of TikTokers on social media and clearly said that the Government considers TikTok a potential tool to reach huge number of people and it will not hesitate using such tools to spread awareness among people in the future aswell.
